This is one time when I wish I had a lens that could give me something between 135mm and 300mm! I had expected to chase this train east as far as Winter Park on my journey back toward the Front Range. However, fate had other plans as the train struck some rocks near MP 147 west of Volcano. One such horseshoe curve is here, about a mile west of the siding of Crater. The head end of UP 5948 comes around the curve on the right while the tail end DPU's enter Tunnel 49 on the left side of the image.
