However, by the time the train had the east signal in sight, it, too, was an approach. The manifest was following an eastbound coal load that was moving quite slowly, keeping the manifest on yellows. During the Winter months, there are generally seven Superliners on the train. Today, however, there are eight! Three coaches are bringing up the rear of the train.
