The Zephyr is just about to enter Tunnel 8, which has a pretty significant bend to the left as you head west. This is the final opportunity for passengers to look out over the Colorado plains to the east. Since Tunnel 1, the train has been running (roughly) geographically north, but after emerging from Tunnel 8, the train will be headed geographically west, following along South Boulder Canyon near Elderado Springs. Tunnel 8 is one of the longer tunnels in the Tunnel District, and would be a scary one to walk through as the entire tunnel is curved. Note: DO NOT WALK through train tunnels!
