For a time, BNSF actually painted newly received C44-9Ws in the Warbonnet scheme, before dropping it entirely in favor of the Heritage 2. The cab almost has an Alco look to it, which is one of the things that identifies the unit as a GP10 and not a low-nose GP7 or GP9. However, the reason I snapped this one is because of the paint schemes. It is the first and (as of the time of the shot), the only picture I have with BNSF's Heritage, Heritage 2, and New Image scheme all in the same shot. Indeed, these were some of the first units to fall of Rio Grande's roster toward the end of its life in the mid-to-late 1980's. A very close second (seeing as how it is almost identical) is the scheme worn by the 100 leaser units from Oakway. I'm a sucker for a shot of one of these SD60s anytime!
