A pair of SD70ACes lead a southbound BNSF coal train from the CTC triple track and onto Main 1, controlled by UP DS-54 under track warrants. To the left, you can see the south end of the RTD's C/D Light Rail line.

For southbounds, Littleton marks the location where CTC (and three main tracks) is left behind in favor of TWC/ABS (and only two main tracks). While southbounds may find themselves on any of the three tracks leading up to Littleton, south of Littleton they nearly always find themselves on Main 1. Such is the case here as a pair of GEs lead a BNSF manifest south on Main 1.

While there is some clutter in the way in this picture, I like some of the things that are included: The pedestrian foot bridge at Mineral Street, the Light Rail station at Mineral, and the signal bridges at Littleton marking the end of the CTC triple track and the start of the TWC double track (when heading south).

After crossing over to main two at Sedalia, the south local is returning to North Yard. It is currently crossing over County Line Road in Littleton, approaching the end of the track controlled by track warrant. Another two miles up the tracks and the local will be within the triple track mainline controlled by CTC.
