The Zephyr emerges from Tunnel 42 right next to the Colorado in this shot, just east of Radium. Radium is a common spot for rafters to board their craft and navigate them down stream to Yarmony. As you can see, the city was pretty well fogged in, but as you gained a little elevation to the west, you escaped the fog. However...note the lead swing helper. It is an SD70ACe! It is extremely rare to find an SD70ACe on a UP coal train. Three days later and the train had reloaded at the Energy Mine on the Craig Branch and was headed east out of Leyden. Once arriving at Utah Junction, the train will crossover from the UP Main to the BNSF Main in preparation to head north on the Front Range Sub.
