EMD was the king of diesel-electric locomotives until 1987 when GE passed EMD and has pretty well stayed ahead since. Therefore, it is somewhat unusual to find a solid set of EMDs on a train these days. That made this train particularly cool with it's quartet of EMD power.

A northbound empty soda ash train rolls north on the main track at Greeley. The train is waiting for a southbound which will run down the siding.

At the north end of Greeley, I got the "so long Ski Train, going away just before sunset" shot that I had been hoping for all day! Not much else to be said...
