On a mostly overcast day, a little bit of sun sneaks through the clouds on the tracks at Parshall. This stretch of track is in an open space in the mountains and offers a much higher maximum track speed for trains. Some freight trains reach 60 MPH and passenger trains reach 70 MPH.

UP 7322 heads almost directly into the sun through a cut just east of Parshall, CO. If you look closely, you can see the back end of the train working its way along the base of the mountains in the distance.

Unfortunately the sun was not quite far enough to the west to light up this eastbound as I'd hoped. However, this S-Curve east of Flat along Parshall, CO made for a nice picture anyway.
