The train is approaching the former (and possibly future) location of Sandown Junction. It was here that the Rock Island would leave the KP Line to head for the Belt Line and connect with DRGW. Sometimes, on the other hand, it can really work to your advantage! There have been quite a few afternoon thunderstorms in the Denver area the last week or two, and the water is building up in places.
