UP 6939 is the last remaining DDA40X in service. Union Pacific uses it for special moves, typically UP passenger trains moved executives around. Such was the case on this day when the DD40 and train passed over the Moffat Road.

The DDA40X has two 3,300 horsepower prime movers and four axles on each truck. This UP special will continue south on the Joint Line upon arriving at Denver.
