UP 2001, one of two specially painted SD70M's used on the torch train in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, leads the IOADVX-04 south on the Greeley Sub, about to pass under Terry Ranch Road.

UP 2001 is speeding south (going roughly 50 MPH) along US-85 in the heartland of the US! (Note the farm land in the background).

A roster shot of UP 2001 on the point of the IOADVX-04. I think that this was a very inspired paint scheme. I love the snow flakes all over the unit!

Just north of Brighton, UP 8357 leads the MNYNP-07 north on the Greeley Sub. I like the elephant-style EMD power on the point, an SD70ACe and two SD9043MACs.

There are 307 SD9043MACs currently on UP's roster as of this photo. Their number range is 8000 to 8308 (UP 8025 and 8088 have been retired). This unit, UP 8000, is the "class unit" for the SD9043 series.
