The building in the background was once known as the "Bum's Hotel", a place you wouldn't want to be late at night…now it has been refurbished into upscale lofts. Great place for watching trains! This siding, not controlled by CTC other than the power locks, is primarily used for coal interchange with BNSF for the Beer Train.
