There is a fresh blanket of snow on the ground on a chilly January afternoon. This westbound coal empty has a foreigner in the lineup! A Ferromex ES44AC is third out helping on the pull.

I've always loved this view of the tracks looking west through Leyden. As I was growing up, my dad had a picture he shot of an eastbound Rio Grande coal train coming through this exact spot. In this shot, it is a westbound moving away from the camera. You can see the head end just entering the curve west of the siding.
