A new building has been constructed off to the right, and construction continues inside the fenced area. Not sure what the new building's purpose will be. The crew for the train was called at 1:45pm and it didn't take long for the train to depart. This is likely because BNSF's crews for trains on the Moffat are now based exclusively out of Grand Junction. So this crew was called and just had to pop over to the yard from the hotel. The crew has been on duty for less than two hours at this point and, with the decreased traffic on the Moffat, should have no problem getting to Grand Junction before dying at 1:45am. It can also depend on the time of year. The lighting is actually pretty good in the afternoon and evening in the summer months as the sun is far enough to the north to get the nose of the lead unit. Regardless, here is a shot of the sole DPU on the tail end of a westbound BNSF manifest passing by some Aspen trees just west of the grade crossing.
