For decades, this power plant has been powered by coal. However, Xcel is nearly done converting it to run on natural gas. The two white stacks to the left are new, and part of the gas-burning portion of the plant. The stack to the right are older and part of the coal-burning portion of the plant. The train is on the four mile long Belt Industrial Lead that connects North Yard and the Moffat to the Greeley Sub.
