The length of train varies from day-to-day. This Sunday morning, the train is an impressive 142 cars long. Over 8,000 feet in length, including the power. Here, the train is making its way across the Belt Industrial Lead, passing by the Stock Yards and about to cross over York Street. The train is about to cross over the Moffat Sub at the diamond here at Utah Jct. The track in the foreground, the Moffat Sub, is the track the Zephyr uses twice daily between Union Station and the Rockies. UP 7855 will be taking their train in to Yard Track 5. BNSF's New North Main continues north on the other side of the diamond to BNSF's Front Range Subdivision, which runs north to Cheyenne.
