After two decades of the American flag on the long hood and wings on the nose, UP has changed their official paint scheme. The flag has been moved to either side of the short hood and the long nose just reads "Union Pacific" again. The wings have also, sadly, been removed from the nose. It's path is currently blocked by a westbound BNSF coal load, crossing over the diamond at Sand Creek on the BNSF Brush Sub, underneath the I-270 overpass. Once the coal load clear, the local will still have to wait a bit as a southbound UP manifest switches some cars out at an industry off in the distance. The train consists of double stacks at the front and autoracks at the back. There is a lone tank car cut in to the middle of the autoracks, apparently by mistake! Interestingly, the units are only four years apart in terms of their build dates. The SD70M was built in 2002 and the SD70ACe was built in 2006.
