The high side gondolas on the house track were spotted there two days earlier by a work train. UP still has piles of old ties laying around after the maintenance blitz in September and October of 2017. Looks like they are finally going to get those old ties picked up and disposed of. It has six units on the point for the trip west. They will be reconfigured 2x3x1 for the trip back east. The train had to wait in the siding at Winter Park for the eastbound Zephyr to pass by. Consequently, the train is now running about 30 minutes behind schedule. The westbound Zephyr is very much not running on time today, now over seven hours late as it sits in the siding at Tolland, meeting its counterpart.
