I was lucky enough to get a few shots of DRGW 3006 working on the South Local in the summer of 1997, shortly before it was retired. After it was retired, it was placed in Burnham. With the closing of Burnham in February 2016, some old DRGW equipment (including 3006) is all that remains in Burnham. DRGW 3006 is headed for a "forever home" at the Forney Museum. This unit was delivered in April of 1989 to Santa Fe. Many of its brothers have turned in to parts donors for units like 573 that are still active.
