The brakeman, see walking to the right, just aligned the derail that protects cars in the yard, and is now walking back. A handful of cars will be spotted on one of the tracks just east of the yard. In Golden, you'll find a lower yard, which is where the cars to and from Coors go, and an upper yard, which is where the cars along the Golden Sub go that are not destined for Coors. BNSF runs a local out of the Golden to switch industries along the line. The cars are then brought back to the upper yard where a train is built to take them to Denver. As you can see in this view, the tracks that are not in service will eventually converge with the track on the left ahead at a yet-to-be-installed switch. BNSF's tracks will be rebuilt to the right.
