The view here offers a nice shot of the Denver Skyline off in the distance. The train left BNSF's yard right next to downtown not quite an hour ago. The switch is aligned for the siding and showing out of correspondence. DS-78 will try to get the switched locked up for the main. If you are not familiar with the terrain and are wondering about the tank cars in the distance, that is indeed the back part of the train as it wraps around Big Ten Curve. AMTK 174 experienced some mechanical issues, so the BNSF unit was added to the point in Denver. Now, running about four hours late, the train approaches the east portal of Tunnel 1. Three hours were lost in the mid-west due to severe thunderstorms and flood warnings. In Denver, BNSF 4762 was added to the point as AMTK 174 was suffering from some mechanical issues.
