The railroad has fewer than ten units on the roster, and fewer than ten miles of track! However, the railroad is generally very busy as a lot of customers are located on its rails. Many customers found the DRIR to be more responsive to demand than UP or BNSF. Here, we see a few of the railroads units. DRIR 417 is an NW2. DRIR 88 is a GP9R. DRIR 1083 is an SW1500. Included in the string of cars is an old dome car that has sat in Denver for decades. Its final destination was not known when this shot was taken. The switcher crosses west (to the right) over Ivy Street just north of I-70. The NW2 started life as Frisco 259 before turning into Burlington Northern 419. The railroad has two switchers (an SW1500 and an NW2) and about three miles of track to its name! However, there are a lot of industries to switch on those three miles.
