This ET44AC was delivered new from Wabtec (formerly GE) to Union Pacific in December 2025 (build number 66987). There is speculation that the unit was painted up to try to make favor with the Trump administration to help "grease the wheels" and get approval for the UP/NS merger. It is also speculated that the unit will ultimately be donated (eventually) to the Trump Presidential Library, similar to UP 4141. It started with around 3 miles of track, and has now expanded to nearly 21 miles of track, with multiple industries moving in. The park interchanges with both Union Pacific and BNSF. Swan Ranch Railroad handles the switching, and has five units on the roster. Two of them are positioned here, ready to start switching. That run is between Cheyenne, WY and Denver, CO (and back) over the course of three days. The train just came out of the yard on Main 4, and is passing by CP W511. After two months on the road, UP 4014 is back at home base to rest before the next trip, whenever that may be. Over the course of two months, the train visited ten states including Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming. UP's tracks were here in Cheyenne before the C&S Line, meaning the C&S Line had to climb a fill to use a bridge to cross over UP's transcontinental mainline.
