The train is slowing for the grade crossing at MP 29.99 (County Road 22). A previous train reported that the main lights and gates were working, but the lights on one of the gates were broken off and hanging down. Consequently, an "XH" order was placed on the crossing. The Zephyr departed Fort Morgan 23 minutes late, but is making up time here and will get in to Denver 17 minutes early. Not too far ahead and the dispatcher would give the train a high wind warning, with wind speeds up to 70 MPH reported.
