Dispatch has informed the train that they will meet the westbound Zephyr at Eisele (Clay) and dispatch is setting up the west switch for the oil train to hold the main. If you look in the distance, you'll notice take cars coming out of Tunnel 4. That is actually a second eastbound train. Specifically, BNSF's HPVODEN (Provo-Denver). They have a tent setup (out of frame to the left) that is within 10 feet of the mainline. The MOW worker is presumably advising them that they are (dangerously) trespassing and that they need to leave ASAP. A UP Maintenance worker overheard the conversation and drove down to inform the campers that they are trespassing and that they should break camp and leave immediately. The siding at Plain is currently occupied by maintenance of way equipment at the west end. Not ideal as it is the only siding over 6,000 feet long between Rocky and Cliff. An early winter storm came through, putting down a few inches of snow on September 8 and 9! The coming forecasts shows ever flake of this snow will be gone within 48 hours as temperatures look to rise back in to the 80°Fs. Meanwhile, passengers on the Zephyr enjoy it all as they head west.
