UP built this new extension of the yard at La Salle (to the northeast of the existing yard) in 2019. This particular train is waiting for a crew to take it south. SD70Ms actually are not all that common in Colorado, with AC traction motor units being fall more common. Anyway, a Phase II SD70M, UP 3836, sits along in the north end of the yard in La Salle. What you see in the sky obscuring a very red sun are not clouds, but rather smoke from one of three major wildfires currently burning in Colorado. However, the train made a stop in Greeley to check out 844 and make sure everything was running correctly.
