There, another train will take the engines to the Northeast Corridor. The units feature cabs at both ends of the unit and are, of course, electric. The train has a fresh crew on board. Grand Junction is a crew change point for Amtrak. The eastbound Zephyr has a crew run it from Salt Lake City (home base) to Grand Junction (away base). Amtrak 5 (on the right) met its counterpart (on the left) at Clifton, a few miles east of Grand Junction.
