Freights are limited to 20 MPH through the canyon due its tight curves, but the flat terrain between Byers Canyon and Kremmling allow for freights to move up to 60 MPH. This manifest is making good time in Parshall, CO, but will be slowing down shortly to 20 MPH in preparation of entering Byers Canyon. Here, seven days into June, the temperature is 40 degrees and it is snowing just east of Parshall, about a mile west of Byers Canyon.
