Two dozen brand new IPPX hoppers are on the front of this Utah Railway coal empty as it passes through the town of Price. The train is headed for the Savage coal mine on the CV Spur. It will load there and then depart west, going back over Soldier Summit.

The west switch of Price looks like it is in the middle of a nice park. It is surrounded by trees and grass. Amtrak 6, now running over six hours late, passes the clear signal at track speed.

Shortly after sunset, a loaded coal train enters the single track mainline between Wellington and Price. The train is coming from the Savage coal mine on the CV Spur.
