The tanker truck is filled with water and will fill the Big Boy's "water bottle" back up for the next leg of the trip to North Platte, NE tomorrow. Ultimately, the train will move from Union Pacific to Norfolk Southern in Chicago, running on NS tracks (in anticipation of the proposed merger between UP and NS) to Philadelphia. UP actually does run a local out of a Sidney, and keeps a handful of units in town for that local. UP 4014 has completed the first 100 miles of its journey from Cheyenne to Philadelphia.
