I could have gotten a shot in Byers Canyon, but it was raining pretty hard there and, after shooting the westbound Zephyr there earlier in the day, I opted to just get ahead and get a shot here, west of Granby. UP 1988 and UP 8237 lead a coal load east. The train is only 78-cars and, as such, has two units on the point and two units on the rear. The lighting is not ideal for the westbound Zephyr, but it could be worse. It offers a nice view of the train in front of the Continental Divide in the distance. It just passed a clear intermediate and is also passing by the detector at mp 79.9. One of these Septembers, I really want to try to get up here in the morning for this same shot.
