If you look, you can just see the Denver skyline in the distance on a cloudy July morning. Amtrak 5 heads west pass the new housing development Alkire Estates.

With the obvious exception of coal trains, the Moffat doesn't see many unit trains anymore…and the ones they do see tend to be operated by BNSF! Here, a unit tank train (with various forms of fuel) heads west at Chemical.

How many trains are in this picture!? The obvious trains is of course the BNSF unit tank train making its way through an S-Curve in Barbara's Gulch on the approach to Rocky. However, did you notice Amtrak 5 heading west through Clay several miles to the west near the top of the picture?
