So, when I heard AMTK 184 was leading the train again on this day, I was excited that I had the time to make the climb up to Tunnel 1. Clear blue skies and temperatures right around 60ºF. A very long MRONY has an approach diverging (yellow-over-yellow) signal at Chemical. The train will be taking the siding at Leyden to meet its counterpart. These manifests used to be a good source for DC power (SD70Ms, SD60Ms, C44-9Ws, etc), but these days, they seem to almost always just carry the same AC power that coal trains have.
