The P40DCs were delivered with 4,000 HP compared to the 4,250 in their P42DC successors. However, having gone through several rebuild programs, the P40s on the road now (including 809 in this picture) have had electrical upgrades and engine modifications from GE and are now rated at 4,250 HP as well.
