It is really a mix of two schemes: the "Daylight" scheme and the "Black Widow" scheme. Here, the colorful unit is headed west toward Grand Junction on the MNYGJ. Last Wednesday, the final MNYRO left North Yard, running across the Grande to Roper in Salt Lake City. The MNYRO usually carried a cut of cars for Grand Junction. With UP stopping the MNYRO (and MRONY), they have started an MNYGJ (and MGJNY) three times a week to move cars headed to or from Grand Junction. Note UP 1996 is second in the head end consist.
