A short BNSF Provo-to-Denver rolls slowly east on a clear signal at West Leyden. The train this morning is quite short, with a block of coal hoppers, a block of tank cars, and a second block of four more coal hoppers.

As often happens this time of year, the Front Range of Colorado has been hit by a winter storm. A couple inches of snow fell overnight, making the middle of April look a bit more like the middle of January! The eastbound BNSF Provo-to-Denver pays no mind to the snow though as it rolls east at Leyden.

A pair of ES44C4s bring up the tail end of a rather short manifest near the west end of Leyden. The spring snow has stopped, but the clouds remain rather unrelenting. No complaints though as that allowed for some good shots from the north side of the rails here at Leyden.
