At first, you might ask what is special about it. UP's MGJNY is headed east on the main at Rocky, which by itself is not anything unusual. However, if you look toward the top of the frame, you can see the head end of a westbound oil train approaching Tunnel 1, nearly six rail miles to the west! The train passes through the OS at East Rocky. One thing I never quite understood about East Rocky. When UP added their control point designations, East Rocky was given CP DS016. While it is not okay to see the mountains in the distance covered in snow, it is a little less common to have the near-foot of snow we have on the ground.
