Later on the journey in Nebraska, between Hastings and McCook, the Zephyr was delayed another three hours due to a broken rail. The mid-west has been experiencing some extreme cold weather, and it has caused some havoc on the rails. Trying to make up time, the Zephyr is headed west from Leyden, just over five hours late.
