This is the eastbound California Zephyr heading into Fort Morgan right around noon. Typically, the Zephyr hits this stretch of track between 9 and 10 o'clock at night, so catching it in daylight is very rare. On this day, the Zephyr is running with only seven Superliners instead of eight, as demand is often down some in the winter months. This coal load consisted of unit aluminum hoppers built in April 2009. The hoppers boast a "Rapid Discharge" system.
