Every year, Union Pacific get the 4-6-6-4 x3985 out and runs it from Denver to Cheyenne on the Cheyenne Frontier Days Steam Train. On the morning of July 25, 2004, the train is about to cross under Terry Ridge Road, two miles into the state of Wyoming.

Every summer, Union Pacific runs its Cheyenne Frontier Days Steam Train between Denver, CO and Cheyenne, WY. Here, the train is leaving the siding of Brighton behind as it travels north of the Greeley Subdivision.

The steam train always attracts quite a croud on the ground. Here at Platteville, the steam train held the main for a southbound UP manifest. After getting a clear signal, the train "smokes" up and prepares to depart northbound.
