The hydrotreater weighs 570 metric tons and is 115 feet long. It is also a bit wider than the average load, which is why signals and switch stands had to be (temporarily) removed at points along BNSF during the move. The hydrotreater being moved to Commerce City, CO came from Italy. It was said that the total cost of transportation (ship and rail combined) exceeded $3 million!
