A pair of P42DCs lead a baggage car and nine Superliners on an on-time westbound Zephyr. Here at Prospect Jct, as the train is about to pass underneath I-25, we see the Zephyr as it moves from BNSF to UP. The train has just changed channels from 3939 to 1414.

After an on-time departure, from Denver Union Station, the Zephyr has come to a stop in the OS at Prospect Jct to pick up a conductor that threw a switch. It is here at Prospect Jct that the Zephyr moves from BNSF tracks to UP tracks. It will run on Main 2 between Prospect Jct and Fox Jct, where it will change over to the single main track to continue west.

The California Zephyr is working on getting out of Denver with nine Superliners in tow. The train is briefly stopped at Prospect Junction, waiting for a conductor to reboard the train after aligning a switch on the Buck Lead.

UP 9689 is a C44-9W that has been in long term storage in Grand Junction. It is likely going to be rebuilt as a C44ACM and put back into active service.

At Prospect Jct, a southbound UP manifest is on Main 1, heading south toward the Joint Line. Meanwhile, a UP yard transfer heading for BNSF's 31st Street Yard has left Main 2 (and left CTC limits) as it heads toward the BNSF to deliver two units and a nearly a mile of cars.

Here we are at milepost 0 here at CP DS000 (Prospect Jct). Mileposts start counting up on the Moffat Tunnel Sub (the way the camera is looking). Mileposts also start counting up south on the Joint line (behind the camera). UP's MNYPU is currently stopped on Main 1 just north of the signal protecting Prospect Jct. You can clearly still see the switch is bent toward Main 2 on the empty track. The westbound Zephyr came through here about 25 minutes earlier.

The head end of the westbound Zephyr is stopped in the OS at Prospect Jct. The train is technically on Main 2, with Main 1 over to the right of the frame. The nose of AMTK 18 is actually in Yard Limits and out of CTC. The only stretch of CTC on Main 2 here at Prospect Jct is between the two signals.

The westbound Zephyr is arriving in Denver, having made up some time on the trip in from Fort Morgan. Once the train clears the wye bridge over the South Platte, it'll back across the Buck main into Denver Union Station.

The westbound Zephyr has just passed by a restricting signal at Prospect Jct so the last Superliner clears the switch toward the Buck Lead. A commuter rail on the G-Line glides by, also heading for Union Station. The commuter train will make its stop on Track 7 at Union station while the Zephyr will stop on Track 4.
