You can see a restricting signal at the diamond. The Zephyr will use this track to back in to Union Station for its schedule station stop. The train is technically on Main 2, with Main 1 over to the right of the frame. The nose of AMTK 18 is actually in Yard Limits and out of CTC. Some crew members talk on the ground. the train is waiting for the westbound Zephyr to pass by before heading for the Belt Line. The lead unit, UP 6189, was originally SP 146! After the westbound Zephyr passes by, the train will head for the Belt Industrial Lead, and on to the Greeley Sub. The train will have to "double over", meaning it will pick up the second half of its train from a different track. The train will be 8,100 feet long when it finally departs. To the left, we see a long line of trailers waiting to either be loaded on to trains, or picked up by trucks, at BNSF's Rennicks intermodal facility. Part of the grade crossing is currently broken, so there is a standing "XH" order at the crossing. This means trains must go slow enough to stop if a car darts out in front of them. It is a great place, particularly in the summer months, to get westbound with decent lighting in the morning.
