This means track warrants are issued and acknowledged via computer. Consequently, there is very minimal radio traffic on the Front Range Sub. This northbound will not be meeting anything at Broomfield, which means it'll be another 40 miles before it might meet another train (at Longs Peak). The train has a track warrant as far as MP 25 in Boulder. When in reaches there, the dispatcher told the crew he should be able to get them another warrant to continue north. Today, it is somewhat rare to find a pair lashed up together! However, that was the case on a beautiful Thursday afternoon as this pair of SD70MACs bring up the rear of a northbound coal empty.
