Tied down in the Lodo Siding, BNSF 9397 waits patiently for a new crew to continue north. The building in the background was once known as the "Bum's Hotel", a place you wouldn't want to be late at night…now it has been refurbished into upscale lofts. Great place for watching trains!

Fresh out of the box, this SD70ACe came to BNSF from the EMD plant in London, Ontario less than a month ago. It was the lead unit on a northbound coal empty sitting in the Lodo Siding just south of BNSF's 31st Street yards.

A rather shabby looking GP35 and a very clean looking GP30 bring in the "BN Transfer" train from UP at North Yard. The units will take the train down into 38th street for classification.

Arriving about ten minutes late (due to a slow order near Leyden and having to run through Yard Track 2 in North Yard), the Ski Train crosses the north end of the Joint Line at 23rd Street, just south of Prospect Jct.

One of the yard jobs working in BNSF's 31st Street ran out of room on the yard lead and had to come out on Main One, crossing the Buck Main which leads to Union Station (to the left) or to North Yard (to the right).
