In early 2004, EMD released four SD70ACe demonstrators. These SD70's were "Tier-2 Emission's Compliant", and had AC traction motors. Now, in late 2004, the DC traction motor version (SD70M-2) has been built. The prototypes are GM 74 and GM 75. Here, GM 75 sits in North Yard waiting to head south to EMD's testing facility.
