This power was brand new in the 1980's ... these days, you can still find this power on the mainline. In fact, this particular unit went east of the Limon Sub to Salina, KS later in the day. A GP15-1 and a GP38-2 work to switch cars for the MDVGR (Denver, CO to Green River, WY) which would depart later in the day. These units are particularly good in yard service as they are not equipped with dynamic brakes. This makes them less useful as road power over much of UP's system.
