Five years ago, two coal empties with an hour or two of each other would have been the norm. Oh how times have changed and two in two days is now something of a big deal! The city annexed the land from Jefferson County a few years ago and immediately started development. As you can see, there are now hundreds of house up (or on the way to being up). Barbara's Gulch is something of the gateway between the plains (albeit rather hilly) of Denver and Arvada in favor of the Rocky Mountains and the true start of the climb to the Moffat Tunnel.
