The lead unit is one of ten specially painted units honoring the 25th Anniversary of BNSF. I've been fortunate to catch two of these units leading now! This was thanks to two 10 MPH slow orders along the route. The first was in Barbara's Gulch east of Rocky. The second was around Big Ten Loop. The latter was due to high winds coming off the mountains and on to the plains today. BNSF 6163, a 25th Anniversary unit, leads the train by falls colors here at Blue Mountain. The lead units is a recently-repainted ES44AC that is now sporting BNSF's 25th Anniversary paint scheme. The Denver-Provo will end up being one of only four trains to run on the Moffat today.
