A westbound BNSF coal empty, which will load in Utah, is heading west out of Leyden on clear signals. Not only does the train having six SD70ACes, but the last two are Ferromex.

A quartet of BNSF SD70ACes (and two Ferromex SD70ACes not currently in the frame) lead a westbound BNSF coal empty at Blue Mountain road crossing.

Always great to catch some foreign visitors on the Moffat from time-to-time. A pair of SD70ACes from south of the border are helping out a westbound BNSF coal empty. The train will load in Utah and head back east in a few days. With a little luck, maybe the FXE units will lead the eastbound. These are actually the first two EMD FXE units that I've seen in person!

With as little traffic as the Moffat has these days, it is always great to see a little something unusual running. On this Saturday afternoon, something unusual showed up in the form of a BNSF coal empty. Six SD70ACes lead the empty on the climb up from Coal Creek to Tunnel 1.

A westbound BNSF coal empty knocks down a clear signal at the east end of Tolland as it charges west in the snow, a few miles east of the Moffat Tunnel. This would end up being the one and only train that ran on the Moffat during daylight hours on this chilly Saturday!

A pair of Ferromex SD70ACes are on the front end of a westbound coal empty at Tolland. The green and red units are likely not use to this high altitude and snowy weather as the train is just a few miles east of the Moffat Tunnel.
